  • With the recent decision to mark Juneteenth as a Federal Holiday, we are late to recognize and celebrate Juneteenth - our country’s second independence day when more than 250,000 enslaved black people were finally freed in Texas in 1865. We believe Juneteenth serves as an important part of Black History and American History in our country, and should be celebrated for its cultural and historical significance.
